Want to be happier? Express your thanks.

Remembering what you’re thankful for is actually good for you.

According to research, people who express gratitude tend to have improved emotional and physical health. Expressing thanks can also make you happier and improve your relationships with those around you.

So while you’re sitting around your Thanksgiving table this year, remember to name things you’re grateful to have in your life.

Then keep that “Thanksgiving” feeling going throughout the year by keeping a log of everyday things that make you happy or thankful. This can be done with a journal, photos, or talks over the dinner table.
