For better sleep in hot weather, cool your feet.
If you’re getting too hot while trying to sleep, you can help keep your body cool by starting with your feet.
Keeping one or both feet outside the covers may keep you cool enough to fall asleep.
Getting your feet wet first is a good way to keep them cool, too. Step into some cold water before bed or even keep a bucket of it (and a towel) nearby. Or try wearing a pair of damp socks to bed, although not too damp. It should be damp enough to keep you cool but not soak the bed.
Your feet help dissipate body heat, so keeping them cool is a good start to chill the rest of you.
